Valerie Metcalfe joined the ProValue team in May of 2018. As a Senior Human Resource Consultant and Chief Operating Officer, Valerie provides hands on expertise for solving the daily business challenges of each individualized client. Additionally, Valerie assists businesses in identifying opportunities and areas of improvement as well as developing a specific, customized approach to ensure success for their organization.
Valerie has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Human Resource Management from Wichita State University. Prior to ProValue, Valerie was the Vice President and Director of Talent Operations, Human Resources for The IMA Financial Group Inc., in Wichita, Kansas. Valerie is an experienced HR professional with wide-ranging knowledge and experience.
Valerie resides in Derby, Kansas with her two children, Brayden and Brooklyn, as well as their two dogs, Gia (rescue Boxer-mix) and Duke (American Bulldog).
Kelsey Kowalski joined the ProValue team as a human resource project consultant in August of 2017 and moved into a human resource consultant in October of 2018. Kelsey most recently worked as a senior human resources coordinator at Johnson Controls in Wichita and supported salaried exempt, non-exempt, and bargaining unit employees in all HR disciplines. Prior to that, she worked as a human resources business partner at Textron Aviation, where she served as a strategic partner in all HR areas including but not limited to: talent management, talent acquisition, employee relations, and compensation planning support.
Kelsey received her Master’s of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Emporia State University. While at ESU, she taught psychology courses to the undergraduate population. Kelsey earned a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Psychology and a minor in Business from the University of Kansas. Additionally, she worked both individually and with a team on numerous HR consulting projects for organizations while pursuing her graduate and undergraduate degrees. Kelsey received her Certified Professional designation from the Society of Human Resource Management in 2017.
Kelsey resides in Kechi, Kansas, with her husband, Cory, and their three cats: Milo, Max and Moji.
Jessica Scheer joined the ProValue team as a human resource consultant in July of 2019. Jessica’s vast human resources experience dates back to 2006. Most recently, Jessica worked as a human resource consultant for clients in the manufacturing, banking, technology, health, and professional services industries where she provided advice and results regarding their recruiting, HR and training needs. Prior to that, she held the position of professional development trainer for Emprise bank where she was responsible for the needs analysis, design and facilitation of organizational developmental offerings across the company. Earlier roles include human resources generalist positions that focused on all day-to-day HR activities to include job description creation, handbook development, employee relations, HR technology implementations, onboarding, and other talent-related functions.
Jessica received her Master’s in School Leadership and Administration from Baker University and received her Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education from Newman University where she graduated Magna cum Laude. Additionally, she has received the Facilitating Organizational Change and Developing a Mentor Program certifications through the American Society for Training and Development as well as attended the Project Management CMD program at Wichita State University.
Jessica resides in Garden Plain, Kansas, with her husband, Brad, their three children Cooper, Alyssa, and Jake, and their dog, Marley (Corgi). Outside of the office, you can find the Scheers at local sports events cheering on their Garden Plain Owls or planning their next vacation to the Colorado mountains.
Sara Kepley has been a part of a KFSA affiliated company since October 2005. She first served as a Human Resources Specialist for the Human Resource Alliance, LLC (HRA). In 2007, HRA was merged in to ProValue, LLC and Kepley joined their team, serving as a Human Resource Consultant. For the past several years she has fulfilled the role of CEO at ProValue. In late 2018, she joined KFSA as the Vice-President of Corporate and Professional Services. She currently oversees group benefit sales and services, marketing and branding efforts, ProValue and the internal human resource and training efforts of KFSA. Additionally, Kepley will continue to work closely with cooperative board of directors providing CEO placement services.
Kepley holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Development from Southwestern College, Winfield, KS. In 2006, she earned her Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) designation from the Human Resource Certification Institute. She also holds a SHRM-SCP designation from the Society of Human Resource Management.
Sara is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (National and local) as well as the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives. She is a certified Franklin Covey trainer in the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Managers and The Five Choices of Productivity.
KFSA and Lindburg & Vogel (now Lindburg Vogel Pierce Faris, Chartered) joined together to create ProValue, LLC, a company focused on providing their common clients with business services such as assistance with mergers and acquisitions, feasibility studies and strategic planning.
KFSA’s Human Resource department consolidated into ProValue and significant synergies were attained. This consolidation has provided ProValue additional depth and opportunities to provide services in a more efficient and effective manner.
The Human Resource consulting services provided by Triangle Cooperative Service Company, headquartered in Enid, Oklahoma, were also consolidated into ProValue, strengthening its services and widening its footprint to include services to companies in Oklahoma and the Texas panhandle.
ProValue was presented with a unique opportunity to provide management services to the Oklahoma Agricultural Cooperative Council, OACC. This partnership lasted until the end of 2013.
Today, ProValue is wholly owned by KFSA. KFSA is a long-time successful leader in the agricultural and insurance community. Our business model focuses on three core areas of service: Human Resource and business consulting, training and payroll outsourcing.
